Sangiovese’s red fruit combines with supple Merlot.
COLOUR
Intense ruby red in colour with a lovely purple hints.
AROMA
Clean, well defined with perfumes of red berry fruit, cherry, redcurrant, strawberry and a touch of vibrant, tangy dark blueberry fruit, lightly spiced.
PALATE
With a rounded tannin structure with great balance, the perfumes are carried through to the palate, with hints of ripe, mealy green Pippin apples and some well-integrated touches of wood spice.
VINIFICATION
The grapes are de-stemmed and crushed, then fermented in concrete tanks at a controlled temperature with their own indigenous yeasts. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously.
AGEING
The wine is aged in concrete vats and large non-toasted barrels for a few months.
